Mommy’s Bootcamp

Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA is home to Mommy’s Bootcamp where mommies, babies, mommies wearing babies, and tots are found sweating, almost crying (only when running sprints of course), but almost always smiling every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Join us soon for a sweaty good time!
Becoming a Hot Mama – You have 40 weeks to grow a perfect baby.
Every woman is different. Every pregnancy is different. Every baby is different. However, one thing remains the same, Mommy’s health throughout her pregnancy effects Baby’s development and entrance into this world.  Exercising while pregnant increases Mommy and Baby’s health.
                       Strong Mom, Strong Baby
The human body has the ability to not only regain it’s pre-pregnancy strength, but it can surpass it and become stronger than before.  While pregnant, your body will be working in a way it never has before, utilizing muscles in new and different ways.  Once your newborn arrives, the body’s memory stores these muscle changes and can actually use them to create an entirely new level of strength.  Exercising is the only way to truly achieve your well deserved post-pregnancy body.  While the body is regaining it’s strength, you are choosing a healthy lifestyle.  This choice is passed onto your child and provides healthy surroundings.
Elizabeth MacDonald
Certified Pre- and Post Natal Exercise Specialist

Studying Exercise Physiology, I became overwhelmingly interested in the human body’s ability to grow and change while nurishing a life within, and then healing, toning, and tightening to create a stronger, more powerful mind, body, and spirit once the child arrives.  My passion is to provide women trying to become pregnant, currently pregnant, and post-pregnant information and motivation to live a fit and fabulous life while leading their children to do the same.

Teaching fitness, health, and nutrition classes at the University level encouraged my drive to learn more about this field.  I find it sad that the majority of women are not informed of the true benefits of exercising to increase fertility, ease a pregnancy and labor, and aid in recovering while achieving an amazing post-pregnancy body.  I hope to reach as many women as possible in my journey to spread what I have learned.
